Shelley is an international Art Director & Creative Director, currently working at Innocean Berlin.

She was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Costa Rica, and after dabbling in Business Administration, realized that this wasn’t “it” for her. So she packed up her suitcases and moved to South Beach where she attended Miami Ad School and developed a passion for Advertising while at the same time getting quite a decent tan.

The experience made her into a bit of a nomad, where in the courses of the following years she lived out of two suitcases and had the opportunity to work in agencies located in New York, Shanghai, Madrid and Hamburg.

She spent ten years working at BBDO Berlin where she formed part of the core creative team for smart car, both globally as well as the German market. During this time, smart became Germany’s most awarded brand. The daily work that was produced for the brand also helped BBDO to achieve its best ADC Germany result ever in the year 2017.

In 2018, Shelley moved to Jung von Matt / Havel. As part of the core initial team, she played an active role in helping build the agency – a 100% success rate was achieved in pitch wins that year to gain the first clients for the agency, and her creative leadership contributed in its continued growth the following years.

She has been an instructor at Miami Ad School Berlin since 2015, and finds immense happiness and satisfaction in working with young creatives.

Her awards include Cannes Lions, LIA, Clios, New York Festivals, Eurobest, Art Directors Club Germany, amongst others. When not working in advertising, her passion lies in creating artwork through different mediums such as painting, illustration and mixed media.
